Dogs + Reading = Magic

PAWS for Reading is a unique and fun reading program that allows children of all ages to develop and improve their literacy skills. Children can read aloud a book or tell a story to a registered and trained therapy dog. 


Research shows that therapy dogs can help reduce anxiety as well as improve focus and attention span. Therapy dogs serve as a calm presence and allow children to work to improve literacy, comprehension and communicate with a non-judgmental listener.


Morning and afternoon sessions are available throughout the week. After each session, our readers are given a small prize such as a bookmark, sticker, bubbles or a book. Sign up HERE for as many slots as you would like, up to a month in advance!
