History by the Book meets to discuss historical fiction and non-fiction books. We explore the deeper stories behind historical events and periods in the past.

In 1873, Mrs. Eliza Touchet, a Scottish housekeeper and cousin by marriage to the declining novelist William Ainsworth, navigates a world of skepticism and intrigue in England. Meanwhile, Andrew Bogle, a former slave from Jamaica, grapples with the complexities of truth and deception in London. As they become embroiled in the notorious Tichborne Trial, they confront the blurred lines between reality and fiction, authenticity and fraud, in a captivating tale inspired by historical events

* To cancel your reservation, contact the library by phone or email (programs@clearviewlibrary.org) 24 hours in advance. Failure to return your book at the end of the month may result in a $10 fine for paperbacks or $15 for hardbacks.

* All attendees must be 18+. Registration is required to receive a copy of the title. Books not picked up after 7 days of the pick up notification date will result in a cancellation of registration to accommodate waitlists.
