History by the Book meets to discuss historical fiction and non-fiction books. We explore the deeper stories behind historical events and periods in the past.
In 1873, Mrs. Eliza Touchet, a Scottish housekeeper and cousin by marriage to the declining novelist William Ainsworth, navigates a world of skepticism and intrigue in England.
