Fame is nice, but what about infamy? Edgy Pages is a club for exploring books that are the stuff of controversy and scandal, or inherently provocative.

Persepolis is the story of Marjane Satrapi's unforgettable childhood and coming of age within a large and loving family in Tehran during the Islamic Revolution. Edgy, searingly observant, and candid, often heartbreaking but threaded throughout with raw humor and hard-earned wisdom—Persepolis is a stunning work from one of the most highly regarded, singularly talented graphic artists at work today.

In recognition of Banned Book Week, reading this graphic novel underscores the significance of preserving and exploring diverse perspectives and personal stories amidst censorship. Established in 1982, Banned Books Week brings together the entire book community in shared support of the freedom to read.

Books will be ready for pick-up on Tuesday, August 27th.
