Reading Bugs is a 4-week book club that fosters the love of books and reading and provides an engaging environment for 6-8 year olds to communicate, learn, make and play.
Join us online for Reading Bugs on Fridays at 4 p.m. We will be reading The Pug Who Wanted To Be A Unicorn by Bella Swift.
Registration is required. Please note that you only need to register once for the entire series, however please register each child separately.
Always be yourself. Unless you can be a unicorn . . . When she's abandoned just before Christmas, Peggy the pug is taken in by a foster family with a unicorn-mad little girl. Peggy thinks that her new friend, Chloe, wants a unicorn for Christmas - not a puppy. Believing that anything is possible, Peggy decides that she will turn into a unicorn. All she needs is a long silky mane, a glowing horn, and the ability to do magic! Easy, right?
Kits for this online program will be available for pickup beginning Friday, November 1, and will include a free copy of the book, as well as supplies for activities and crafts that will take place during the program. You may pick up your kit at the library (Windsor or Severance branch) during our regular hours. If you would like to pick up your kit from the bookmobile email Christy: christy@clearviewlibrary.org.
Once you have registered for the program, we will send you a link to join the book club via Zoom every Friday at 4 p.m., November 8-December 6, with the exception of November 29 due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
Photographs taken during virtual library events may be used for Clearview Library District publicity. If you would like to opt out, please turn your camera off when a picture is taken.
For questions, please contact Christy: christy@clearviewlibrary.org.
