Come have fun with food at the library! Open to elementary-aged children and tweens ages 9-12.
During Kids in the Kitchen, you will learn to make and try new foods that you can also make for your family at home! Participants will experiment with all types of cooking styles, ingredients, recipes, and techniques.
In this session of Kids in the Kitchen, it’s the season of giving! Participants will make a basic chocolate bark and decide on the combination of mix-ins. Chefs will enjoy some chocolate bark themselves during the program, as well as bring some home to give to someone else, complete in a personalized gift box.
Please be aware that we are offering the same program activity during weeks one and two of Kids in the Kitchen. Weeks three and four of Kids in the Kitchen will also feature the same program activity, but a different activity from weeks one and two. Therefore, we kindly ask that you register for either week one OR two and either week three OR four so as to allow the greatest number of people possible to enjoy this popular program.
Registration is required. Please register each child separately that will be attending the program using the child’s first and last name. We will meet in the Cottonwood Room of the Severance Library.
Please note: At this time we are unable to accommodate food allergies.
Photographs taken during library events may be used for Clearview Library District publicity. If you would like to opt out, please let the photographer know at the time the picture is being taken.
