During this session, we will experience other places and cultures as we travel around the world through our books! You get to choose the book you want to read from three options: Me, Frida, and the Secret of the Peacock Ring by Angela Cervantes, My Not-So-Great French Escape by Cliff Burke, and Marshmallow & Jordan (Graphic Novel) by Alina Chau.
We will read and talk about our books, but we will also: create self-portraits inspired by Frida Kahlo, build bee hotels to support the pollinators helping our local crops and gardens, and sample some tasty treats from around the world!
Tween programs are offered for kids ages 9-12. Registration is required. To ensure time for book selection, registration closes on December 27, 2024.
