Join us at the Severance Library to make your very own story book with author-illustrator Saki Tanaka! Open to elementary-aged children and tweens ages 9-12.
Join us on Monday and Wednesday afternoons in June and July for our Shades of Summer series, part of our Summer Adventure Program: Color Our World. Each program is unique and will offer a variety of experiences. Programs will be held on Monday afternoons at our Severance Library and on Wednesday afternoons at our Windsor Library.
Make your very own story book with author-illustrator, Saki Tanaka! We'll use Saki's "Three S's" approach to gather a constellation of ideas and sparks that you can turn into a story, then Saki will walk us through how you can use words and pictures to bring your story to life as a book. Get ready to have fun writing, drawing, and putting pages together!
Local bookstore, Words of Windsor, will be at the event and will have select Saki Tanaka titles available for purchase.
This program will be held in the Cottonwood room at the Severance Library.
Registration is required. Please register each child separately, using their name, so that we will have enough supplies for each child.
Photographs taken during library events may be used for Clearview Library District publicity. If you would like to opt out, please let the photographer know at the time the picture is being taken.
Please contact Trisha at trisha@clearviewlibrary.org with any questions.
