We invite you to read for your rights! Bring your own banned book or grab one from our displays. Readers of all ages are welcome.
Every year, libraries across the world participate in Banned Books Week, a celebration of the freedom to read. This year's theme is "Censorship is so 1984 - Read For Your Rights." Take a stand against censorship by reading a banned book at the library!
We're proud to stand with our local partner in literacy, Words of Windsor, who also participates in Banned Books Week.
Clearview Library District subscribes to the Library Bill of Rights, Freedom to Read Statement, and the Access to Library Resources and Services for Minors Statement. These documents have been approved by the American Library Association.
Registration is not required.
Photographs taken during library events may be used for Clearview Library District publicity. If you would like to opt out, please let the photographer know at the time the picture is being taken.
