History by the Book meets to discuss historical fiction and non-fiction books. We explore the deeper stories behind historical events and periods in the past.

A stunning true story of Theodore Roosevelt’s sons and their 1929 Himalayan expedition to prove the existence of the panda bear to the western world. Nathalia Holt's The Beast in the Clouds brings alive these extraordinary events in a potent nonfiction thriller featuring the indomitable Roosevelt family.

Registration is required to receive a book. Already read this book? Skip registration and join us for the discussion! All attendees must be 18+. 

Books will be ready for pick-up beginning Thursday, February 19th. Books not picked up within 7 days of the pick-up notification email will result in a cancellation of registration to accommodate waitlists.

To cancel your registration, please email programs@clearviewlibrary.org or call the library (970-686-5603) at least 24 hours before the book club date. Books must be returned on or before the book club date. 

Photographs taken during library events may be used for Clearview Library District publicity. If you would like to opt out, please let the photographer know at the time the picture is being taken.
