116 5th St, Windsor, CO 80550Join us at the Art & Heritage Center for a talk & book signing with local authors Sarah Hahn Campbell and Afton Rorvik as they share their work on underexplored aspects of Colorado’s history.
Sarah Hahn Campbell lives in Denver, Colorado, where she teaches high school English. She has published work in a variety of publications, including The English Journal, Curriculum and Teaching Dialogue, Curve, Room Magazine, Sinister Wisdom, Iris Brown Lit Mag, and Adoptive Families Magazine. Her newest book, Her Place on the Map, follows her journey to 18 Colorado mountains, lakes, and trails on a quest to better understand them and the women for which they were named.
Afton Rorvik is a Colorado native who now lives in Windsor after spending 40 years in Illinois. She has three published works, including her latest, The 1896 Leadville Ice Palace. In this work, Rorvik takes us to 1896 Leadville, Colorado, where city leaders decided to build the biggest and best ice palace the world had ever seen–and the town came alive as visitors from around Colorado and the globe gathered to celebrate.
Registration is not required, but attendees can register to receive a reminder for the program. Maximum attendance is contingent on program capacity. All attendees must be 18+.
