History by the Book meets to discuss historical fiction and non-fiction books. We explore the deeper stories behind historical events and periods in the past.
In 1692 Massachusetts, accusations of witchcraft led to the executions of 19 women and men. Stacy Schiff’s The Witches offers a gripping account of the Salem witch trials and the fear, mystery, and hysteria that shaped them.

Books will be ready for pick-up beginning Thursday, September 17. Books not picked up within 7 days of the pick-up notification email will result in a cancellation of registration to accommodate waitlists.
To cancel your registration, please email programs@clearviewlibrary.org or call the library (970-686-5603) at least 24 hours before the book club date. Books must be returned on or before the book club date.
Photographs taken during library events may be used for Clearview Library District publicity. If you would like to opt out, please let the photographer know at the time the picture is being taken.
