Weird Science offers kids the opportunity to explore the crazy world of STEM through experimentation, teamwork, creativity, inquiry, and innovation!
The sun’s, our nearest star, is essentially a hot ball of glowing gases. It converts 4 million tons of matter into energy every second! This energy is the source of the Sun’s light and heat. During this session of Weird Science we are going to explore the sun’s energy by designing and building two devices: one to keep the contents cold and another to speed up the melting process. We will also experiment with UV changing beads!
For ages 6-12. Registration is required. This week we’ll meet in the large conference room in the Windsor-Severance Library.
