Each month in Lil STEAM, we will read a story and then explore a theme from the story with a STEAM related activity.
We all know the fairy tale of the three little pigs who head off to build their houses using potato chips and soda pop…wait, what? Join us as we read a kid friendly version of the three little pigs and the not so bad wolf. Little scientists will then try an engineering challenge to build a sturdy house and test it against the puffing of the not so bad wolf (a hairdryer).
For ages 3-5. Registration required. Please register each child separately that will be attending the program using the child's first and last name.
Lil STEAM is offered twice a month. The same program theme will be offered in each instance; we kindly ask that you register for only one offering per month so as to allow the greatest number of people possible to enjoy this popular program. This week we will be meeting in the large meeting room in the Windsor-Severance Library. Please note that we will NOT be meeting during the next session; instead, all materials will be provided in a take home kit for you to do at home at your leisure.
Photographs taken during library events may be used for Clearview Library District publicity.
Please contact Diana at diana@clearviewlibrary.org for more information.
Due to remodel construction at the Windsor-Severance Library many of our January programs will be offered virtually, at alternative locations, as a take-and-make kit only, or postponed. Please visit our Facilities Plan page for more information.
