Join us as we welcome author Kathy MacMillan for an interactive event on January 12 from 6:00-7:00pm, Mountain Standard Time on Zoom.
Sign, sing, read, play, and celebrate the publication of the second edition of Little Hands and Big Hands: Children and Adults Signing Together with author Kathy MacMillan. You'll learn how signing with kids ages birth to six improves everyday life and communication and supports early literacy. The author will teach American Sign Language vocabulary and share activities that parents can use throughout the day to smooth transitions, calm a fussy child, or engage a stubborn one. Autographed copies of the book may be purchased at https://tinyurl.com/lhbhlaunch with all proceeds supporting Deaf Camps, Inc.’s scholarship program.
Find out more about Deaf Camps, Inc. at https://deafcampsinc.org/.
Please note that this program is registration-based only. Once you have registered for the program we will send you a link to join the book launch on Zoom, January 12 at 6:00 pm (MST).
For questions, please contact Christy: christy@clearviewlibrary.org.
American Sign Language interpretation and automatic captioning will be provided.
Due to remodel construction at the Windsor-Severance Library many of our January programs will be offered virtually, at alternative locations, as a take-and-make kit only, or postponed. Please visit our Facilities Plan page for more information.
