Art Like an Illustrator gives kids a chance to create all types of art inspired by children’s illustrators! Each session we will focus on a different illustrator by reading a book (or two) that they illustrated and then we'll dive into an art project in their style.
Join us this week wearing clothes/shoes that can get messy! In this session, attending artists will learn how designing an interesting main character was usually illustrator William Steig's first step in creating his award winning picture books. Participants will develop a character from their own imagination and will then create an illustration of their character in William Steig's signature watercolor style!
For ages 6-12. Registration is required. Please register each child separately that will be attending the program using the child's first and last name. We will meet in the large meeting room of the Windsor-Severance Library.
Photographs taken during library events may be used for Clearview Library District publicity.
