Weird Science offers kids the opportunity to explore the crazy world of STEM through experimentation, teamwork, creativity, inquiry, and innovation!
Join us this week wearing clothes/shoes that can get messy! Where does all the water end up when it rains? What about when the snow melts up in the mountains? In this session of Weird Science we will be learning all about watersheds and how terrain affects the flow of water. We will examine real life examples of watersheds before making our own 3D watershed models to see how they really work!
For ages 6-12. Registration is required. Please register each child separately that will be attending the program using the child's first and last name. This week we’ll meet in the Pikes Peak room in the Windsor-Severance Library.
Please be aware that we are offering the same program activity during weeks one and two of Weird Science. Weeks three and four of Weird Science will also feature the same program activity, but a different activity from weeks one and two. Therefore, we kindly ask that you register for either week one OR two and either week three OR four so as to allow the greatest number of people possible to enjoy this popular program.
