Art Like an Illustrator gives kids a chance to create all types of art inspired by children’s illustrators! Each session we will focus on a different illustrator by reading a book (or two) that they illustrated and then we'll dive into an art project in their style.
Join us this week wearing clothes/shoes that can get messy! In this session of Art Like an Illustrator, limitation can make way for innovation! This session will feature illustrator Marie Dorléans and her luminous monochromatic picture book The Night Walk. Participants of this session will be creating their own night time scenes by using limited amounts of color, focusing instead on shading to create depth in their illustrations.
For ages 6-12. Registration is required. Please register each child separately that will be attending the program using the child's first and last name. We will meet in the Pikes Peak room in the Windsor-Severance Library.
Photographs taken during library events may be used for Clearview Library District publicity.
