Art Like an Illustrator gives kids a chance to create all types of art inspired by children’s illustrators! Each session we will focus on a different illustrator by reading a book (or two) that they illustrated and then we'll dive into an art project in their style.

Artists participating in this session of Art Like an Illustrator will be creating something as long lasting and cherished as Deborah Marcero’s timeless children’s books, a memory jar of their own! We will be painting our jars in the style of Ms. Marcero’s illustrations, which are just as heartwarming as the stories she tells, before taking our jars home to fill with precious memories and keepsakes. Join us this week wearing clothes/shoes that can get messy! 

For ages 6-12. Registration is required. Please register each child separately that will be attending the program using the child's first and last name. We will meet in the Pikes Peak room of the Windsor-Severance Library.

Photographs taken during library events may be used for Clearview Library District publicity.
