Art Like an Illustrator gives kids a chance to create all types of art inspired by children’s illustrators!

Each session we will focus on a different illustrator by reading a book (or two) that they illustrated and then we'll dive into an art project in their style.

Elmer is a beloved book by author-illustrator David McKee that doesn’t just celebrate the brilliance of color, it also celebrates the beauty of being who you are. In this session of Art Like an Illustrator, we will learn simple paper weaving techniques and create patchwork animals of our own in honor of Elmer and David McKee!

For ages 6-12. Registration is required. Please register each child separately that will be attending the program using the child's first and last name. We will meet in the Pikes Peak room of the Windsor-Severance Library.

Photographs taken during library events may be used for Clearview Library District publicity.
