Art Like an Illustrator gives kids a chance to create all types of art inspired by children’s illustrators!
Each session we will focus on a different illustrator by reading a book (or two) that they illustrated and then we'll dive into an art project in their style.
Many people are familiar with The Great Wave off Kanagawa, a profoundly significant piece of art created during the 19th century by Japanese artist Katsushika Kanagawa. Possibly the most famous artwork in Japanese history, The Great Wave off Kanagawa continues to make waves today. This session of Art Like an Illustrator will feature Hokusai inspired wave paintings of our very own!
For ages 6-12. Registration is required. Please register each child separately that will be attending the program using the child's first and last name. We will meet in the Pikes Peak room in the Windsor-Severance Library.
