What is a StoryWalk?
StoryWalk® brings together early literacy and the great outdoors, with pages from a children's book installed along an outdoor path. As you progress down the path, readers will explore a new page of the book.
By embracing stories and reading at a young age, children are more likely to build the confidence they need to succeed in school and life. StoryWalk also demonstrates to children that literacy never ends: it's all around us in all we do.
We have two StoryWalk locations in the Clearview Library District:
Stories rotate every quarter and are celebrated with a special StoryWalk Storytime program. Watch our Events page for Details.

History of Our StoryWalks
The Eastman Park StoryWalk was created through a partnership with Boy Scout Evan Reynolds of Windsor Troop 88, the Cub Scouts of Windsor Pack 199, and the Town of Windsor. Reynolds built the StoryWalk displays as an Eagle Scout service project and teamed up with Scout families for the installation.
The Lakeview StoryWalk was made possible through a collaboration with Calvary Church and the Town of Severance. Members from Calvary Church constructed and installed the page holders.
