Celebrate the Semiquincentennial and become a citizen archivist with the “By the People” crowdsourced transcription program from the Library of Congress.

Drop in anytime from 2-4 pm and learn how to transcribe Library of Congress documents to improve search, access, and discovery of these pages from The American Revolution in Context Collection. We have a small number of Chromebooks available, however we encourage you to bring your own computer if you have one.

Get started on your own by visiting the By the People website to learn transcription basics.

Registration is not required, but attendees can register to receive a reminder for the program. Maximum attendance is contingent on program capacity. All attendees must be 18+. 

Photographs taken during library events may be used for Clearview Library District publicity. If you would like to opt out, please let the photographer know at the time the picture is being taken.
