This month we will read: Shark Heart: A Love Story by Emily Habeck

In their brief year of marriage, Lewis and Wren face an extraordinary challenge: Lewis is diagnosed with a rare condition that transforms his body into that of a great white shark while leaving his mind intact. As Lewis struggles with his unfulfilled artistic dreams and predatory impulses, Wren confronts the impossible reality of their future together. Her journey weaves through past traumas, from her childhood on an Oklahoma houseboat to her mother Angela’s turbulent teenage years, and forces her to reconcile grief, love, and memory. A lyrical and darkly humorous debut, Shark Heart explores the fragility of life, the resilience of love, and the search for meaning in the face of profound loss.

Books will be ready for pick-up on Tuesday, January 28th.
