Reading Bugs is a 4-week book club that fosters the love of books and reading and provides an engaging environment for 6-8 year olds to communicate, learn, make and play.
Join us online for Reading Bugs Fridays at 4 p.m. We will be reading Leroy Ninker Saddles Up: Tales from Deckawoo Drive volume 1, by Kate DiCamillo.
Registration is required. Please note that you only need to register once for the entire series, however please register each child separately.
Leroy Ninker has a hat, a lasso, and boots. What he doesn’t have is a horse — until he meets Maybelline, that is, and then it’s love at first sight. Maybelline loves spaghetti and sweet nothings, and she loves Leroy, too. But when Leroy forgets the third and final rule of caring for Maybelline, disaster ensues. Can Leroy wrestle fate to the ground, rescue the horse of his heart, and lasso loneliness for good?
Kits for this online program will be available for pickup beginning Friday, March 28, and will include a free copy of the book, as well as supplies for activities and crafts that will take place during the program. You may pick up your kit at the library (Windsor or Severance branch) during our regular hours. If you would like to pick up your kit from the bookmobile email Christy: christy@clearviewlibrary.org.
Once you have registered for the program, we will send you a link to join the book club via Zoom every at 4 p.m., April 4th through the 25th.
Photographs taken during virtual library events may be used for Clearview Library District publicity. If you would like to opt out, please turn your camera off when a picture is taken.
